Yorkshire Sculpture Park presents 'At Home' in the park's Bothy Gallery. This exhibition is the first in a series curated by the Arts Council Collection as part of the National Partners programme marking the Collection’s 70th anniversary. The exhibition presents highlights of the Arts Council Collection with over 40 works on show dating from 1937 to 2004. Through the familiar threads of home and domestic objects, the exhibition reveals the shift in art over that period from the representational through to powerful social commentary photography as well as conceptual art and the appropriation of ‘ready-made’ objects.
Hirst's early edition, 'Relationships' (1991), made for his first solo exhibition at a public gallery, 'Internal Affairs' at the ICA (1991–1992), is included in the exhibition. Other features artists are: Yoko Ono, Joseph Beuys, Gary Hume, Sophie Calle, Fiona Banner, Arman, Dan Graham, Paul Rooney, Roy Lichtenstein, Barbara Hepworth, Jordan Baseman, Robert Filliou, Bill Brandt, Jenny Holzer and Mark Wallinger.
At Home relaunches the Bothy Gallery following its refurbishment, supported by Arts Council England and a significant public giving campaign.
