Solo Exhibition
A major exhibition of Hirst works inaugurated Charles Saatchi’s new gallery space at County Hall, London, in 2003.

For the opening of the new Saatchi Gallery, Hirst works were interspersed throughout with pieces from other artists in the collection. Key works such as ‘The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living’ (1991), ‘Hymn’ (1999-2003) and ‘A Thousand Years’ (1990) were included in the exhibition. Shortly after the show, Hirst bought back many of the works originally acquired by Saatchi.
