Beautiful Morana Dysgeusia Painting for Jarvis (with Diamonds)’ is now on display alongside other works in the permanent collection in Gallery IV: Abstraction and Art now.

Jarvis Cocker, who was gifted the painting by Hirst, chose to lend the work to the institution after hearing of the gallery’s recent prohibitive funding cuts. The work, which measures 72 inches in diameter, is one of a number of spin paintings Hirst has made which incorporate an image of a skull. For this painting, created specifically for Cocker, Hirst has also applied scatterings of cubic zirconia across the canvas.
