Gigi Giannuzzi, publisher of Trolley Books and more recently TJ Boulting gallery, was recently diagnosed with cancer of the pancreas. As he has helped and recognised many over the years, artists who know Gigi have donated work for an auction to raise funds for the alternative treatments he is seeking. Tonight's auction is be held in Sarah Lucas’ Situation space, (off site Sadie Coles HQ). Alongside Hirst, who has donated a paper spin painting entitled ‘Beautiful Paper Spin for Situation Gigi’ (2012), contributors include Polly Morgan, Mat Collishaw, Nan Goldin and Jake & Dinos Champman who will create a work for the highest bidder.

The auction will be divided into two parts – the live auction which will be conducted by Oliver Barker from Sotheby’s on Thursday 20th September at 7pm, at the Situations space, and also a silent auction which will be held online until 30th September 6pm.

All of the 47 artworks are available to view online in advance of the live auction, and those who are unable to take part in the live auction can submit in advance their highest maximum bid by clicking the button underneath the artwork.
