The culmination of over two years in planning and production, yesterday evening ‘Verity’ was lifted into position by crane. The sculpture arrived on site over a week ago, having travelled from Pangolin Editions foundry in Gloucestershire. She then underwent extensive metalworking onsite during which her bronze clad carbon fibre sword was fitted to her arm and then patinated. A stack of bronze legal books – traditionally associated with figures representing Justice – provide the base on which she stands.
