Don’t Be Shy, Don’t Hold Back: The Logan Collection at SFMOMA

Presenting major works dating from the 1960s to the 1990s, ‘Don’t be Shy, Don’t Hold Back’ marks 15 years since SFMOMA’s acquisition of an extraordinary collection gifted by Vicki and Kent Logan. Included in the show are a wide range of works gathered from an international spectrum of artists such as Anselm Kiefer, Bruce Nauman, Gerhard Richter, Ed Ruscha, Jeff Koons, and Takashi Murakami. Hirst’s ‘Natural History’ work ‘Philip (The Twelve Disciples)’ (1994) will be exhibited alongside a spot paintingAmylamine’ (1993). Also included is ‘Pretty Vacant’ (1989); one of the four ‘Medicine Cabinets’ exhibited by Hirst at his Goldsmiths degree show in 1989,
